GNC/JYC Leads

Before the current school year GNC/JYC is over...

Step 1(January): Attend Leadership Training #1 January 25 from 10:30-11:30am at Granada Heights Church in La Mirada.
Step 2(January): Encourage current team members to attend our CEF Breakfast / Fundraiser on Saturday March 1st from 10:00-11:30am at Community Presbyterian Church in La Mirada.
Step 3(January): Attend Mandatory Leadership Training #2 March 22, from 9-11am at Granada Heights Friends Church. Click Here to Register.
Step 4 (March): Start dialogue with current school principals and teachers about returning in the fall. Sometimes the current year principals might move to a different school, and they wouldn't know who the new principal is until later, but it's always good to be in the know. Make sure they know you and the team. Don’t let them forget about the Good News Club or JYC.
Step 5 (April): Get the School District Calendar for next school year to plan out your club meeting/non-meeting dates. Find out when Back-to-School will be. Fill out the Facility Questionnaire online by May 1st. Make sure to attach your GNC/JYC calendar and Team List.
Step 6 (April): Encourage your GNC/JYC team members to attend the End of the Year Meeting/Celebration on Saturday May 3, from 9-11 upstairs at Granada Heights friend church. Click here to register.
Step 7 (April): Encourage your team to take the Refresher Course during the summer.

The Director will contact the school districts in May to get an update on any fees that CEF needs to pay before starting in the fall.

Step 8 (August): The Director will contact you to review the flyer. Once you approve the flyer the CEF staff will print and contact you to pick up the flyers from the CEF office. Flyers must be passed out 1-2 weeks prior to your GNC/JYC start date.
Step 9 (August): Connect with your team and make sure everyone took the mandatory Refresher Course or at least registered for the last one in September.
Step 10 (September): Launch clubs September 15-19 and PRAY!
