The 10 Commandments for After-School Good News Club Workers

1. All children must have a signed permission slip on file. If not, they cannot stay for the GNC and/or JYC program.
2. Only volunteers who have attended the mandatory training are allowed to teach, lead singing, pray, counsel or take children to the restroom. Team members from other GNC’s and/or JYC’s will obtain the Director’s approval before attending other Clubs.
3. All material presented at the GNC and/or JYC must be provided by Child Evangelism Fellowship and approved by Director, Ashley Casillas. All communication, other than Memory Verses, with parents, students, school officials, etc., must also be approved by the CEF Office.
4. The Bible (KJV or ESV) will be used AT LEAST 3 times per club: once during the Memory Verse, at least once during the Bible Lesson and at least once during counseling.
5. I will always do my best and put in the time to study and prepare for GNC and/or JYC as unto the Lord. I will express kindness, respect and grace to others. I will take instruction and criticism well being mindful that we all have the same goal – winning children to Christ.
6. I will be faithful to always show up for GNC and/or JYC or make arrangements, far in advance, if I cannot make it. GNC’s cannot be canceled!
7. I will arrive at least 20 minutes early to GNC and/or JYC in order to be completely prepared to start Good News Club BEFORE the children arrive.
8. If any situation ever arises with a parent, child or worker that causes me concern, I will notify Ashley Casillas (562)943-7188 or Lisa Hodo (714) 595-2487 ASAP.
9. I will only teach the Biblical truths presented in the CEF Statement of Faith and not interject any other doctrine in the GNC and/or JYC.
10. I promise to follow these 10 Commandments at all times.
